Is this a bonafide 3rd gear pop-out??
I was driving today, I came up to a stop sign, put it down in 2nd and rolled through the stop sign (LOL)
Then I hit about 3,000RPM in 2nd and I shifted into 3rd. Clutch was fully down on the floor and as I attempted to move the shifter into 3rd I was met with resistance and a grind vibration ensused (I dunno if it was audible, I had the radio up and the windows down) 3rd gear would not engage.
So I put it squarely back in N, revved up a little bit to match 3rd and put it back in. Went in perfectly.
That's only the first time I think I've had that problem, and I'm damn sure I was on the clutch as I don't hot foot my car.

I get the same thing all the time, usually when I am torquing it off of the start. It happens to me in 2nd and 3rd. I usually just get funny looks from people around me, figuring I don't know how to drive.

theres a factory recall on the gear syncros. you gonna want to get this fixed before your warranty is up, cuz this is costly if your out of warranty. they can still good will it cuz they know its a vey frequent problem. just tell them (an acura dealer) that your having thrid gear issues and they will set you up.

Look at my signature much? I drive a brand new 05. Well, two-month old 05.
I'm holding back on mods of course (I have a K&N dropin) until it gets a little colder and I can see how the car performs COLD.
