does windex kill spiders?

:happysad: I don't have any bug-killer and he's been hiding underneath my heater for like a week and a half (which means i'd have to reach under it to kill it, i tried a shoe already). I've sprayed him twice today, but he doesn't want to die. I'd vaccum him up, but that would involve getting too close to the nasty beast.

:(

94civicEX 07-26-2005 04:14 PM

Nope, it doesn't.

No, it cleans spiders. ;)

94civicEX 07-26-2005 04:39 PM

Neither does hairspray.

Grifter 07-26-2005 04:56 PM

Nelson 07-26-2005 04:58 PM

Windex won't do jack squat to the spiders that some of you get :eek4:

Do the hair spray blow torch thing :)

Or use the vaccuum like you said with a long long extention :)

TheOtherDave™ 07-26-2005 06:48 PM

Vacuum is the sure-fire option.
Windex & hairspray won't do a darn thing.

mom took my extensions :wtc:

And now I can't move the rest of my furniture, lest that nasty thing come out to attack me. Plus I'm scared it won't die in the vacuum and it'll come crawling out. At least he's not moving around in his current position.

AHAHAAHHAAHA thats why i cant get myself to vacuum spiders n stuff either... cuz im paranoid that it's somehow going to create balls of baby spider shells and then when it hatches, theyre all gonna crawl out and come after me :eek4:

Let's see you try to suck up Chuckie's spider up there.

Like said, you need a gun for that sucker.

Gimme my Ryobi mulching yard vacuum and some safety glasses. I'll get him...

RB 07-26-2005 07:55 PM

Seriously, that mother fucker is gonna jump out when you get near it and eat your face off.

If he's under 8" in diameter, I'd get him.
The vac I'm talking about has an enormous intake tube that feeds right into a mulching impeller spinning at 50,000 rpm. It can turn limbs under 1/4" into sawdust.

Make one then out of a paper towel tube. Spider will not be able to climb out of a vaccuum cleaner it's only one way suction.

I'd help you out but you are too far from me in Lancaster :)

RB26DETT 07-26-2005 09:35 PM

there was this huge ass..thing...i dont know what the hell it was, on my wall one night. i hairsprayed it till it couldnt move cuz i guess the hairspray was starting to get real stiff.

then i torched it

mayonaise 07-26-2005 09:58 PM

windex and hairspray will both kill spiders. you just gotta keep sprayin em until they're dead or twitching :D

dubcac 07-26-2005 09:58 PM

Shop Vac > *

Or you could man up with a paper towel, and smash it.

:p

AP2 07-26-2005 10:00 PM

Buy some Raid ya cheapskate

DSMtuner 07-26-2005 10:13 PM

C'mon, your on HAN and you dont have brake cleaner?

I guess that could be a far off generalization, but still, it works charms.

M@rshy 07-27-2005 09:41 AM

Fly swatter. Or better yet. Unleash a cat on it! Thats what I do. They get the spiders and flys most times too.

Best idea ever! I haven't seen him since I squirted him the second time, but I'm keeping my eye out.
