B1 Service?
My TSX keeps nagging me to get the B1 Service done.
My understanding is that this includes: Oil Change Tire Rotation Brake Inspection Belt Inspection Lube doors, etc. Does anyone else have a full list? The problem is Las Vegas Acura wants $202 to do it. This price seems high in comparison to other dealers. |
Just called Findlay Acura in Las Vegas, they want $67...wtf.

haha thats dealerships for you man, they suck

Had a local Honda dealership do it for $50 :).

vegas acura?
my local honda dealer wouldnt change my oil because it is an acura :dunno: |
Ha, that's cheap for a B1. Some places run well over $100.
If you check out the owners manual, this is what it says for a B1 service(these for for a "B" service, the 1 means rotate the tires) Replace engine oil and oil filter Inspect front and rear brakes Check parking brake adjustment Inspect these items: Tie rod ends, steering gearbox, and boots Suspension components Driveshaft boots Brake hoses and line (including ABS) All fluid levels and condition of fluids Exhaust system Fuel lines and connections Basically its an oil change and an hours worth of labor looking over things to make sure that they all look OK. Being as most dealers will look over all the things on your car anyway when you get an oil change, personally I don't think it's too big a deal to just make sure they do a multipoint inspection when you take it in for an oil change. I took my TSX in for it's first service at the dealer I bought from, which was free anyway, and they rotated the tires and gave me new inspection stickers(that expire 15 months out) all for free, since i bought it from them. |
