1994 Accord EX - 4 cyl VTEC EGR Port cleaning
 

Does anyone know if it is hard to do this myself??

A local dealer told me this is what might be causing my knocking sound around 2000 RPMs on my engine. Hopefully it is this is not my main engine bearings.

He said the EGR ports may be partially clogged and need to be cleaned.

Has anyone else had this experience and did it do any good cleaning them???
I have 112K miles on my car and have used only Mobil 1 5W30.

I have the same issues......I have not had the EGR ports cleaned but would like to figure how to do it myself.

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

hope it helps anybody trying to still fix the EGR on an accord

knocking sound around 2k rpm in 5th gen accords is the rusty old oem muffler. sounds unreal but true.
