no the crv motor is b20b and i believe the jdm b20a is just a hair over 140 hp i think 143...not sure the crv is like 133 hp and the crv doesnt bolt right into this chassis. i wanted to keep it as stock as possible for now. from research the jdm b20a is better than the usdm b20a5. so i figured i would go that route plus the cost wasnt something to argue with since it comes complete engine, trans, axles, ecu, all the wiring from behind my dash to the ecu, exhaust downpipe, engine mounts, both fuse panels and the engine harness is all included as well as all engine components. they even threw in the original fuel pump.

That's a cool car, I used to have one before it was totaled by a minivan :wtc:
Lesson: Just b/c the other driver has a stop sign, don't assume they'll stop.

Look forward to pics

^click on the yellow square w/ mountains at the bottom, when you highlight it w/ the mouse pointer it will say "Insert Image". Then just open the file from your computer or input the URL.

96-98 (USDM AND JDM)CRV ,(JDM only)Orthia ,(JDM ONLY) Step wagon = B20B
99-01 CRV = B20Z The USDM CRV got And JDM models stuck with the B20B
THE b20a3 and a5 arent the same motor as the B20 out of the previously mentioned vehicles
this is a b21a
This is the b20z/b

It appears that the B20A is more like the F and H motors

got the motor pulled today. i removed the head and looked at the cylinder walls and they have black scratches in them. i ran my fingernail across them and didnt notice that they were gouged since my nail didnt catch any of them. would that explain loss of compression? my buddy is gettin a flow bench sometime this year so im gonna have the head stripped and checked for cracks and warpage then cleaned. i might just go and port and polish the head and intake mani runners. the mount on the b20a on the timing side is way different than on the b21a1...any suggestions on the mount? the main engine harness is also on the opposite side as my mate connector in my passenger fenderwell....any suggestions on the harness? the b20a has 2 oxygen sensors which are on the manifold in the heat shield area...should i leave the existing sensor in the pipe down near the catalytic converter? i have to replace both of my steering knuckle assemblies since who owned it before me twisted one of the lug nut studs completely of on both sides. anyone have suggestions?
