Dead electrical
Hi, I was adjusting the tension on my 1989 Honda Prelude Si when the ratchet slipped while the socket was connected to the adjustment nut and contacted the hot terminal on the alternator. A short arc flashed and I thought no problem while I finished the tension process. When I got in the car to start the engine to check the tension, the electrical system was totally dead. No interior lights, nothing when switching on the ignition, no radio and power outlet dead. The horn works and when I pressed the brake pedal the brake lights worked as well. No headlights. I can straight wire the starter and the starter turns over just fine but the motor won't crank. I looked at every fuse in the interior fuse box and the under the hood fuse box but found no blown fuses, none blown in the main fuse block either. Does anyone have an easy answer?
