Dont get rid of your prelude because it is automatic... They are great cars either way and with the right mods can be very quick... I have a 2001 auto with a turbo and i dyno 317whp 265tq and hit low to mid 13s all day long on street tires... I dont care what anyone says auto's especially built autos are very consistent, the prelude tranny is not the strongest but ive rode in some that are built up and they are sick... They shift way faster and are more consistent then a 5 speed IMO... Check out www.levelten.com...
As for the original ? a stock auto prelude will run 16-16.4... Ive seen one with I/E run a 15.8... So seriously dont ditch your lude because its auto... Its still a great car, have fun with it...

what
if you're barely cracking 14's with a 9psi supercharger, it's gotta be frustrating.
The times below are all in 90+ degree weather.

But I'd be careful going with a smaller pulley than that. I know a guy that tried to get 12 PSI out of the stock supercharger... once he got a belt the wouldn't slip, he melted 2 pistons on his second good pass. The charge temp was WAY above the safe level.

yup the auto SS lude is not all that great to begin with, but it's not a bad starting car either
i've seen runs of 15.6-15.9s all day long with I/H/E
the fast AT lude i've seen is about 14.8 and that's with the JRSC on 6 psi
so don't sell your car just cause it's auto, although i'd definitely recommend learning how to drive a stick
it's always useful, plus ur next car can be MT

Don't sell your car just sell your tranny and buy a 5 speed end of discussion! If you're just going to use your car for daily purposes keep the auto. If you want full potential buy a base 5 speed tranny. Might as well put the money into a manual tranny if you're thinking of beefing up the auto. Both will be expensive!

IMO the 4th gen auto tranny would be a better platform to build up than a 5th gen auto tranny. I don't believe the 4th gen has the sequential shift like the 5th. Then again if you just didnt shift the 5th gen and just drove it in drive they may be equal if built up!

preludedriver99, you truly are a moron...I would never say a stock automatic prelude would perform better than a manual prelude...go back and read carefully, make sure to be careful with the big words. Also, Golden Eagle is one of the crapiest companies I can think of to bore over and rebuild your engine. Congrats on taking it out yourself though, wireharnesses and mounts can be a bitch, did you ship it by yourself and pay for postage by yourself too?! Last but certainly not least...lol @ the 75 shot of nitrous
