You must love your car. This forum I started made me lose my motivation to even do anything else with my auto lude.

Default auto prelude

Don't lose hope buddy...get a high perfomance torque converter...it'll outperform any prelude with a similar setup. check out www.jmoworldsite.com make sure you buy a transmission fluid cooler with your rebuild!

Junk the auto period and get a 5 speed. Auto ludes are slow as hell period, torque converter or not!

lol, geez dude, manny queen...do a little research, for about $900 bucks you can get a completely rebuilt torque converter w/cooler and get better off the line performance and quicker shifts (yeah that's another beauty of the automatic, you can't f uck up the shifts rice boy)... Or you can sell your perfectly fine car and wind up spending a buncha of money upgrading the existing clutch which is not the best to begin with...think before you type buddy

I certainly hope your not calling me a rice boy. A ricer wouldn't know anything except how to put stickers on his car. I took my motor out myself and sent it to Golden Eagle to be sleeved and built. I think I'm the farthest from rice I could be. I've got one of the cleanest SH's around my area and it totally looks stock besides a wings west rs kit and rims. Can you say sleeper!!!! Bring it on buddy I'll eat you off the road, in a straight line or in the curves. Let me tune my 75 shot in once the rings seat and I will ****in eat shit with a 3000 lb car that will go low 12's high 11's. Don't talk smack you don't even know me! You're an idiot just for saying a auto lude will be better than a 5 speed. Dude ludes aren't mustangs. A mustang that is built in auto trim would need a stall/torque converter and would benefit. You must be a ricer if you can't shift a honda five speed one of the easiest transmissions to drive period!!!!!!!!

Default domestic snubbery

Anyone who says the auto is a better drag car has been playing with domestics for a little too long
Well I agree a manual should be better but an auto still can perform. Especially an auto with a tapshift.

How much slower are auto ludes than the manuals?

A lot slower. Like anywhere from 1 to 1.5 seconds in the quarter mile if not more!

if you're barely cracking 14's with a 9psi supercharger, it's gotta be frustrating.

Exactly! Go ahead and supercharge an auto lude since they're so capable!

Last time, I checked I started this fthread titled.. 1/4 mile times for auto ludes. I HAVE AN AUTO PRELUDE. Does that make me a ricer? I can't drive stick, does that mean Im dumb? I appreciate everyone who is making the effort to give me some realistic advice about my auto lude. Unfortunetly I bought this lude in Jan and am satisfied with it. I am not going to junk my perfectly fine lude just to get a manual lude. I still have faith that there is some hope for my lude. Thanks you guys.

P.S. I don't like cocky guys.
