Diagnostic Computer - How to use?
My G/F has a '00 Prelude, manual. Her check engine light just came on. I called auto zone and asked about them hooking it up to their computer, because they had done so in the past for my accord. Apparently, the government recently forced them to stop this. They now offer loaner computers, with a deposit.
Problem is, I have no idea how to work it! I dont even know what it looks like. Is this something I should try on my own? Auto Zone said that they "werent allowed" to help me hook it up. Dealers and private mechanics want ~$75-100 to plug it into their computers. Thats ridiculous.
Thanks for any feedback.

I'd guess you just plug it into the blue color interface on the passengeder size under neth the radio on the side. There is a carpet panel there you can pull off..

Yes...that's where the ODB, emissions control information is pulled from and when mine threw a code that's where everyone said to use whatever tool to plug in there.
