Even though we all know the TL is almost the size of the E-Class, its being cross shopped with the C-Class cuz of its price.
Then you put 5 grand more equipment in the TL, right? Imagine THAT. auto sunroof, auto u/d windows on all doors, etc etc. This isn't Nissan - they won't raise the price just to make sure it doesn't steal sales from its own models.

I thought this car was meant to be a 4 door RSX, this alphanumeric crap everybody is using got me confused. So this is basically the Euro Accord?? I would think they would just make an Accord Si or something.

The 4 door teg never sold for shit. Why would they make a 4 door RSX? The Accord is badged as a Honda, if you didn't realise that, whereas the TSX will be badged as an Acura. This gives Acura a big advantage in the entry level luxo market now that they have a car priced near the G20 but this car will actually have some balls and some luxury.

What I am trying to get through your thick head is, look at the G20, it is gone!!! There isn't a market for a cheap NA 4 banger entry level sports sedan. Look at the 318 where is that? Look at the C240.

If the Integra 4door didn't sell well, then why is this gonna sell well? Honda has something up its sleeve and I can't figure it out.

You damn fool, the TSX isn't a 4 door Teg or a G20. It is an Accord Sedan with more luxury and more sport to it, you could call it an ATR with luxury offerings.

The G20 and 318i are horrible comparison to the TSX. The G20 was plague by people calling it the upscaled compact-class Sentra (I know its not) and the 318ti looked wierd and was horribly small. The mid-size TSX will not have these disadvantages.

Although these are not all NA 4cyl, they are equivilant power ratings, assuming the TSX is ~180hp:

Audi A4 1.8t - 170hp
BMW 325i - 181hp
Jaguar X-Type 2.5 - 191hp
Mercedes-Benz C240 - 168hp
Saab 9-3 - 175hp
Volvo S40/V40 - 160hp

I'm probably assuming the TL will get a significant power jump in 2004 so it won't overlap the 240hp Accord V6. I think Honda is using the Accord/TSX more like VW's Passat/A4 strategy. The TSX will fill in a niche below the TL to compete will those listed above. :fawk:

the tsx has absolutely NO similarities to those cars.
the g20 is JUST a sentra w/ a different body
the 318 is just crap

You know, the side body line just abruptly ending where it does and the shape of the chrome surround behind the back windows reminds me way too much of BMW.
