Well, there will be no mistaking it for anything but a Honda...

For some reason, the car looks a little better in these spy photos than the concept.

I was thinking the same thing. I guess when its on the road, it looks more natural than up on a podium.

To me it looks identical to the concept save for the wheels (and probably the brakes).

I'd have to say that's about the most muscular looking front end I've ever seen on a Honda. When you see that come into view in your rear view mirror, you're gonna pull to the right for sure (sorta like how BMW's used to be).

I really like it.

It looks good and sporty, but kind of lacking a high level luxury sedan feel.

I have to agree with you on that one. It definately looks sporty and aggresive to me, but I can't see quite see it as Acura's flagship car.

Wouldn't Acura's flagship car be the NSX?

No, the NSX is the exotic sports car that Acura sells, but you see so few of them it's sort of to be considered a "side project" or "side offering." The flagship of Acuraism is this new RL.

Infiniti can't rely on the new GT-R they should be getting as their new 'flagship.'
GT sport coupes and droptops aren't 'flagships' ... is Cadillac's XLR its flagship? No, its new STS and DTS are the lead ships. You can't dump the Q45 or LS430 and have sports cars as flagships for Infiniti and Lexus, because the point of their existence is to sell luxury sedans and SUVs. Was the BMW 8-Series a "flagship" ?? No, the 7-Series was, is, and will continue to be BMW's "premier" luxury model.

Basically, there's a difference between a "flagship" and a "halo car."
