Got a new ride.
A couple days ago, I purchased a new bike.
2009 CBR600RR.
I would appreciate any tips or insights any of you experienced riders may have in assisting with my transition from sleds to sport bikes.

Thanks man. It's my first new bike, and first sport-bike. I was out on it earlier, keeping the RPM's down during break in. I hit a stretch of long, straight road that had no intersections, obstructions, with no traffic and opened up the throttle.
When I got to 8K RPM, the bike just became a whole different machine. I thought I had prepared myself intellectually for the acceleration, but my expectations were way off. The only term I have to describe the speed is from Spaceballs, "Ludicrous Speed". For those few seconds, it felt like the bike went past light speed, directly to plaid. I'm sure it's just me being a newb to sport-bikes, but it was like nothing I'd ever experienced.

but yeah, just dont get too "comfortable"
ur out in the burbs of chicago right? at least u dont hafta deal with the traffic!
