Changing Tranny Fluid on MDX
Good Evening
I'm embarking on changing my Acura tranny fluid myself. The Owners manual suggests to do a flush and fill 3 times. Thats a lot of work. If it prolongs my tranny life I'm up for it, however, Honda charges $10 for every liter of oil. I need 4. Thats $40 dollars and I have to do that 2 additional times. Honda suggests the owner drive around for 5 minutes and flush it again. I would like to do the flush with cheaper oil since its going to be discarded after 5 minutes of run time. Can anyone suggest cheaper oil to use for the first 2 cycles then for the 3rd cycle, I'll use the Honda ATF-Z1 oil?
