The radar detector probably works great in the states but in canada they take it and give you another ticket - it doesn't matter what speed you are going, if it is plugged in they can detect that you have one. As for the CRV, the new design looks great but it doesn't have much in the way of luxury, power, or size. It seems more of a great car for a starting family but doesn't do much for me. The CR-V has plenty of power, test drive one...the new i-VTEC 4 banger is VERY smooth. Glad to help :thumbup:

I think the Pilot is fine for an active male...especially ifthe activities involve camping, bike riding, skiing/snowboarding, towing something such as a jetski or snowmobile. I say go for it. My wife and I might get one for her in a year or so, she likes it and we have no kids but would be great for when we visit the parents...especially at Christmas with all the gifts.
