Default 96 odyssey p0420 code

I got a p0420 code for the second time in my 96 odyssey in the past 4 months. the scanner reads ' catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank no.1) ' . and what is the bank no. 1 for? I saw another post on here where someone had a similar problem. I dont know if that person will get back to me if he already fixed his problem or not so I though i would post here. Just wondering what exactly should I fix to correct this code. is a new cat converter in order?

In my opinion nothing beats factory parts. Even if it does cost more.

I have seen alot of aftermarket cats that are TINY. Sure, they make the car pass smog but barely and not for very long. Cheap is expensive, if you know what I mean...
