Default Odyssey vs. Sienna

Anyone driven both? My wife is a Toyota enthusiast, which is fine by me. But having done a bit of research on the later model (2004-current) minivans, I'm finding that the odyssey seems to get a little better MPG and doesn't have as many complaints as the sienna (at least on epinions). I suppose I can't go wrong with either, but I know the workings of Honda's much better than Toyota's and the look of the odyssey appeals more to me than the sienna. Any thoughts?

honda has better design, its cheaper and they last as long if not longer. plus they are way easier to work on than sienna. oddesy is the best looking minivan on the market. very appealing. if i had kids and needed a van, odessy would be it. they have nice quiet ride, they are very safe and you get the peace of mind from purchasing a honda.

See my post on the recent brake job....what a piece of cake! I have an '03 Odyssey and it has been an excellent vehicle. I tow a small popup camper a few times in the summer and get 25mpg while towing!. Have had a few annoyances, but I have yet to try the fixes gleaned from the knowledgable folks here (waiting for warmer weather). Otherwise, no complaints.

just love the 07 odyssey. had a trip from los angeles to las vegas couple weeks ago...it handle the hills very well and the gas was great...we use half tank of gas on one way trip(about 285 miles).

Aside from all the meaningless "Honda rules!" post, my Mom had a Sienna. It's the worst car she's ever owned. Hands down.

I am also thinking between the 2; big advantage of toyota is awd. Also the unsightly rail for the sliding doors are "somewhat" hidden on the Toyota.
Honda interior and drive feel is better.

Difference between gas mileage seems to be minimal.

I recommend at least a 2006 Odyssey or later. The previous body style Odyssey's have transmission problems. There is an extended warranty but expires at roughly 7years and 107k. The 06 and newer has a redesigned 4 shaft transmission and should not have the same problems. I drive and work on them quite a bit and I would say overall they are very good vehicles.
