EGR Valve Replacement ('01 Odessey)

EGR Valve needs to be replaced. I found the part on line for little or nothing. Anyone know whether this is a DIY job? If so, how is it done?

there are 2 nuts and 1 plug, if there is a code it must be cleared

Why do you think the EGR is bad?

Most likely if you're getting the insufficient flow code, your EGR port is clogged, not just the valve, Honda recommends you install a stainless steel sleeve into the EGR port after its been cleaned and honed to prevent future clogging-common problem on the odysseys...

I don't think 01-up is affected by that s/b, I could be wrong but I think I'm not. EGR's are very common failures on newer ody's, symtoms are stumbling at cruise usually. The factory scantool snapshot is nice for verifing this problem but you can unplug the EGR and drive it again to diagnosis the problem. I WOULD NOT put a non factory EGR on a newer honda. It's calibrated to the engine type and you might get a working EGR from the aftermarket but it could cause higher numbers than you want when you smog it.
