Default 96 Passport Fuel Gauge

I have a 96 Passport and the fule gauge is not working correctly. About a year after I bought it used the fuel gauge would only read about 3/4 tank when I had just filled up. Now it all of a sudden reads below 1/2 tank after fill up. Any ideas???

Default Fuel Gage Malfunction

I have been having that same issue with my 96 passport. I will fill up and immediatly will have a 3/4 tank and even a half tank within 50 miles. I am going to test to see if it really is a bad sending unit or if the car is really eating up so much gas. I will let you know how it goes

Default fuel gauge issues!

Its definetly your sending unit! just replaced mine, deal wanted 340.00 for a new one. i called different parts stores and got one for 100.00 bucks and installed myself. not that hard if you have a little car knowledge. hardest part was dropping the gas tank down.
