For the up and down revs, first try and bleed the air out of your cooling system. The speedometer (could also affect your shifting) is possibly a result of a bad VSS (vehicle speed sensor).

How can we bleed the air out of the cooling system? I am having a similar problem- car only has a 110k miles. I changed the VSS but the car is still doing the same thing, when I first start the car the RPM stays stable for a little while and then starts to go up and down, then the check engine lights up when I am in drive and then the D starts blinking and after the car is warm the revving just stays at 1700 rpm- I am very desperate please help or email me at realprince01@yahoo.com
