96 RL front end vibration
I have a 96 RL and it starts to vibrate at approximately 50 mph and again at just under 80mph. I notice a little front end vibration when turning at 40mph.
Took it to the tire shop to have them check out wheel balance, they say balance is dead on good. They claim it may be rear transmission mount. Also I have the car loaded with 4 people and noticed that when I backed off the gas while doing 80 mph there was a thump thump thump vibration. Give it gas and it went away. Any ideas before I spend $300 on a transmission mount replacement?
