Default 2000 RL Electircal Issues - Ghosts in the system

Factory alarm intermittently turns itself on during all hours of the day
Remote has stopped being able to turn this off. Even key in both drivers/passenger door lock does not disable alarm. Only removal of battery ground will stop this madness.

Radio will reset itself after headlights turn on (randomly) - this in turn sets off the VSS light and CHECK ENGINE light in intrument panel. After car shut off and turn on again lights go away and once code entered in radio it will work again until next time.....

Taken to 2 Acura shops and they've run diagnostic on electrical and both battery and alternator check fine.

Can ANYONE please help. Just bought the car and it has all stock components zero modifications. 87K kms on it and it's only a 2000. Called Acura cust service only to speak to a guy that really doens't care nor have any idea, numbers to help - It's the MOST useless line I've ever called for help.

$500 of diagnostic indicate water leak into main computer from fracture weld from front of car that Acura will not be responsible for as it's "Out of Warranty" I am appauled that such a calibur of auto can have this issue - All service records indicate full Acura service history with 0 accidents. Potential buyers beware - check drives side under run for water leak before even thinking of purchase. Acura also rewire some items now power tilt steering only goes "telescoping" no up/down tilt and they are wanting more "diagnostic" time to resolve. $$$$$$$$$$$ is all they want.

This can happen when buying someone elses problem. They probably haven't even had it looked at.

actually if you call client services they do care and they will contact the service managers at the dealerships you went to. diagnostic tests wont help too much because there is obviously a short in a harness that connects to all of those systems. try a wiring diagram. if you paid them to diagnose the problem and they couldnt find it just go back and complain to the service manager. honestly any decent dealership will be able to figure it out. what dealerships did you bring it to?
