That swap is amazingly cheap. RL engines are everywhere (they don't blow up), but you have to make sure the block is 2002 and newer, with the forged rods.

I have $800 in my complete swap. I have a bit more in extras that I performed, but if you just wanted to buy an engine and swap it in, it would cost you about $800.

What a ricer

Just kidding. Seriously, wow, I am very impressed. So is the car SH-AWD or is it just RWD? I am assuming just RWD since you were spinning the tires a bit, but it is possible for the torque to be high enough to spin all of them I must say, I have never seen anything like that before. Very clean, powerful, and original.

9.5/10

The newer ones yes. The older ones were based off the legends.

A transmission can't be FWD, RWD AWD or anything. You're going for 'drivetrain', and it was FWD until MY2005.

That's a really sweet, clean ride. I love that generation Legend coupe. The lines are so slick. It's hot. Too bad Acura doesn't have anything equivalent nowadays.

Yeah, the 91 5 speed or automatic transmission will bolt directly up to the RL engine with the exception of one bellhousing bolt.

The swap can be found under engines on this site: www.car-part.com

He's the innovator of the swap. I just followed his lead. He's the first to have it in a sedan, and I'm the first in a coupe.

Some of the members at Acura-legend.com finished up a prototype chip for the Legend ECU. That, backed by the S-AFC is all I need for N/A engine management at this point in time. I don't know if I'm ready for LSD yet. That'll probably be one of my last mods over this winter, preceded by Headers, chip, Tein Coilovers, and a few other goodies I have in store..

Once forced induction rolls around, I'll probably end up using either the AEM EMS or an Autronic system.

Still doesn't answer my question since he's running nitrous and the 6-speed (which I assume is off the Type-II).

My car won't be at the track until Spring. I still have a lot of work to do before wasting money on track times.
