88 Integra -- Time for Ignition Switch Replacement?
Hi,
Recently my Integra will intermittently fail to start or turn over when I turn the ignition key. I flip the ignition key and nothing, nada then I turn it again reflexively and without hesitation it starts. Don't want to wait until it fails to start completely so looking to diagnose the problem.
Youtube vid on '94 honda makes it look like a simple procedure. My Hayes Repair Manual for '88 Integra suggests having to replace a plug (with wiring to fuse box) that goes in to the back of the key slot (AutoZone DuraLast/Ignition Switch LS884 $64).
I'm the original owner of the car and it has been well taken care of so hopefully it's not anything serious.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
