Shift Lock Question
I was wondering if anyone could please help me, I just bought a beautiful 1992 Acura Integra LS, and for some reason the shift lock enables by itself not allowing me to start my car without putting the key into the shift lock release 2 or 3 times. ANNOYING!! Someone HELP me.

It is a slot next to the shifter, which is supposed to be to lock the shifter, you put your key in the slot and it disengages the shift lock so you can shift the car into gear (My Integra is Automatic). Nut my car does not start at all and this shift lock engages by itself.

Thank you very much, although that problem seems to be what the car is supposed to do which is lock the shifter but my car simply will not start. I am so annoyed with this car now. I really don't know where to begin checking.
