what does your car idle at?
i got a 99 gsr. i'm not sure if somethin is wrong or not. but lately it's been idling at about 4-500. i thought before it used to idle higher. this started happening after i got my 30k mile maintenance done. so is this normal? or should i look at something.

keep in mind that the tach starts at 500.
anyway my idle is low, around 600. my ES motor mount inserts amplify the roughness, so my door panels and headliner rattle.

Did they adjust your valves during that maintenance? When I had mine adjusted at 15K, my idle got low too. It went back up to 700-800 when warm after a week or so.
I don't imagine it would be a problem unless you hear it sputtering out or anything.

manual says: 750 +/- 50
unless you have the b18c5 in which case its 800 +/- 50

u sure its at 400-500? cuz like rich said...the stock tach starts off at 500. plus, the stock tach isnt exactly accurate..its about 200rpms off... i used to think my idle was really really low too and sometimes it even sounded like it was going to stall... i got it checked and it was at a rock solid 700 and when i put on my SAFC, it proved the "inaccuracy" of the stock tach.
