Acura/Integra OEM rims?

Saw a G3 Teg today with some 15' factory rims, at least the center cap read "ACURA", however, I've never seen these rims before. They were a 13 spoke alloy wheel, not polished, and the center cap covered the lugs, also the center cap was black and read "ACURA", anyone have pics of these wheels? Anyone know what year/model Acua they came from. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I pretty sure they are not OEM because I have never seen them on a acura but I don't claim to seen everything.

Usually when the "center cap" covers the lugs, those are wheel covers and the actual rim is nothing but a steely!

I appologize, please excuse my relentless ignorance, I honestly can't tell the difference between a wheel cover and an alloy wheel, your probably right, it probably just a wheel cover.

Since when do hubcaps have centercaps? If that makes sence?....thanks, great response.

Pics are exactly what I'm asking for, if I had pics of the wheels this thread wouldn't exist. I can't wait to get back to my other message board, the avg. IQ seems to be considerably lower over here on HA.net....and I did say avg. so don't be offended if this doesn't apply to you.

Hubcaps don't usually have centercaps per se. I quoted center caps for a reseaon. Most wheel covers nowadays go to great "lengths" to simulate rims. Simulated disk brakes, both slotted and drilled, the appearence of center caps, utilizing a small depression around the center, all to stand in for the real thing.

Here's how to tell if you have wheelcovers or rims. Look through them. If you can see the other side, you probably have rims. If you see black steel, you've got steelies. Also, lugs don't come through wheelcovers. Wheelcovers are designed to pop off if the steelies warp (high temp, sharp turn, excessive pressure) so the lugs won't go through that.

??? Perhaps I'm not understanding the statement "lugs don't come through wheelcovers," but I disagree. The stock wheelcovers I have on my 96 LS in the winter are held on by the lugnuts. They are not "snap on" like some other wheel cover variants. I.E. you have to place the wheelcover on the "steelie" part and then screw the lugnuts in. How's that for a technical explanation? LOL.

Anyways, back to the original topic: could the rims you noticed been optional equipment for any year of the teg? I know Honda generally offers several different styles of rims for their model lines. (Think '03 Accord) Also, could it have been a wheel from the civic or accord with the acura centercap interchanged? (I've seen that a few times before)

Wow you're pretty cocky for someone who doesn't know the difference between hub caps and rims.

I have OEM steelies/hubcaps on my '94 LS -- and the bolts go through the hubcaps.
