B20 gsr head vtec dosent work
im working on my friends car its a 93 gsr with a b20 block and a 95 gsr head . when he bought the car it ran but didnt move the trans was messed up , so i put a new gsr trans in it and it runs great and drives smooth but as soon as i get rpms up to vtec it throws the check engine light so i put a new vtec soleniod on it still the same problem . any suggestions ? thanks

Are you low on oil?
Have you pulled the CEL code?
How have you dealt with the knock sensor input?
Assuming you're running the stock ECU, it is going to need to see knock sensor input and adequate oil pressure input before it will open the VTEC solenoid.
