Default Reset CPU?

When installation of an AEM cold air intake is complete do i need to reset the ECU or whatever the **** that is? Please advise?

I've heard that disconnecting a fuse to re-start your ECU while the car is off will allow it to reprogram fuel maps due to the increase in air density and decrease in air temperature but I cannot confirm that.

shouldn't the ECU know that something has changed and I don't have to do that???

after about a day....the ECU will rewrite the fuel maps. resetting it just does it quicker.
