Radiator Problems
Today while changing my oil I noticed my radiator had some green goo on the outher part of it (radiator fluid I imagine) I also noticed my radiator fluid tank was empty) My 97 GSR has 77k on it. I was wondering if I should replace it now or just add fluid and see if it comes up again? If I need to replace how much should I pay for one? What brand type? i heard something about all steel radiators?
Thanks alot
Thanks alot

Mine had a crack where the top hose connects, and my car started overheating. $107 is good, my friend got me his discount at an autoparts store and I got it for about 70 I think. I would suggest having someone help you do it. It's alot easier if you have somone holding back the hoses and pipes while you take out the hold one. It's a real tight fit.

If it busts then yes. Integras are prone to radiator problems because of our plastic pieces of crap. I went ahead and bought a new one from Napa for 180 that's all metal and replaced my hoses as well for around $25.00 from Pepboys for the bottom one and Advanced Auto Parts for the top one. Your new all metal radiator should last you much longer than the OEM one.

I've owned two Hondas and both developed radiator leaks.
I would advise against the liquid radiator sealants ( Bars leak, Prestone sealant etc.) because they are temporary solutions at best.

The radiators and plastic cam seals are the weak links of Hondas. Radiator sealer will not work, since the end-tanks are plastic and the core is aluminum itself. In terms of aftermarket OEM replacements, they're even worse than Hondas. So basically if I were you I would get a Honda one, if you have the extra $$$ I'd look into a Koyo, PWR, Fluidyne, or C&R model.
