Default !7" wheels. What size tire?

I have a question. I just bought a 95 gsr lowered about an inch. Will 17" wheels fit under this car and what size tires di I have to get so I don't encounter rubbing. I had a spec v with 17's and 225/17 45 on it and had no problems. I don't think I can do the same with this car. Let me know.
-Thanks

I've got 17's with 40 series, 2" drop. The only time I rub is when turning with the wheels cranked all the way... aside from that none at all.

I think the most popular is the 205/40/17.

any significant change in wheel size deviating from the factory circumfrence will result in the incorrect indicated MPH while driving, and miles on the odometer will be incorrect.

The closest to factory specs is:

for 16"s: 205-45-16
for 17"s: 204-40-17

Did you mean 205/40/17
I have never seen a 204. Even searched around and no luck.

Are you telling me the camber kit is necessary or is it because your car is lowered beyond 1". I have a set of 17"x7.5" rims that I want to put on my car I don't want to spend any more than just tires/mounting and balancing. Is it necessary to have a camber kit to put these 17's on? PLease tell me no.

Everyone from the place I bought everything, people who had the same set-up, and the tuning shop that installed them said "nope, no need for a camber kit."

When all was said and done we looked at it and it was off... an alignment would have worked but since he said he'd put the camber kit in for free before he aligned it I just said fine, better now then later.

Your going to need an alignment anyway though.

Let me know how it turns out.
