Slicks!

whats up guys,

My friend the other day showed me a pair of slicks, brand name, hoosier <---- or however u spell it, well they were about an inch away from the low usage mark (the diamond). Is that pretty low or not and do slicks wear done quickly? And he told me he would sell them to me for 50 bucks, two of them. First of all, is that a good deal, and if i got them when putting them on do they need to be balanced.

I'll see if i can get pictures.

thanks

1. Don't use them on a stock clutch, it won't last long or maybe even hold at all.
2. Stock axles don't like slicks too much, you might break them.
Slicks do wear down quickly because they are of such a soft compound. That's not a bad deal for a set of slicks, and yes they still need to be balanced.
