Noise from trunk/rear seat when car is shut off.

I have a 98 AV6 coupe and I have a motor or pump running on mine too (it's done this for years). It just happens randomly when the car is off, but it does happen often. If you've ever heard a Lincoln or something with the air suspension leveling itself while it's just sitting there, that's the best way I can describe it (not as loud or noticeable), but it's not like I have an air suspension or anything. Been meaning to inquire about this for a long time too, but just never think about it when I'm online.

Dealerships should issue earplugs to their cusomers , just imagine how that would go over.
Better to have a section in the manual titled "noises, normal or not"..
Most are, the problem is that people's hearing is too accute..
