need a few opinions
hey all glad to see the site is back on line, been here since feb of 2001. so i have a 95 LS auto, i know auto's suck (i want it converted but that's like $3,000). i'm looking for a set of cams to put on my baby for all around performance & smooth idle. i'm pretty sure i'm going w/ the skunk 2 cam gears. so far i have a ww kit that i'm replacing w/ a buddy club, intake (of course), wires, plugs, fpr, 2.25 custom exhaust to be mounted as soon as the rear bumper is put on w/ an obx exhaust & hi-flow cat, and 17" focals. i'm thinking a t3 turbo for some extra go & quick spool times. is the turbo the best way to go for an auto LS? probably just get a cm stage 2 clutch plate ect. to handle the extra power?
any suggestions?

Sure, turbo would be a good bang for your buck. Unless you want add nitrous and fill up the bottle every now and then. Your automatic transmission cannot accept the clutch you mentioned above. You would probably have to modify the torque converter and/or upgrade the valve body in the auto tranny. $3k is too much for a changeover, a decent price is around $1.5k. Call other shops and get more quotes.

thanks for the reply, i was reading on the turbo 101 & saw that adding a turbo was much simpler that i thought. what clutch plate would u recoment then?
on the turbo issue, what would any of you recommend for a daily driver as far as boost goes? i've read 9psi is as far as the motor will go w/ the stock internals. also how much HP will the stock auto clutch handle? i've heard somewhere around 40 HP above stock HP.
thanks in advance for your responses.
