Default Which Cams?

Right now, I have a 97 GSR with Aem intake, DC Jdm header, 2.5 Carsound Cat, and Greddy Exhaust. I was wondering which cams would produce the most power for my car out of these 3 choices...Toda Spec A's, Spoon, or Skunk2 Stage1. I can get a good deal on all three of these so price isnt an issue. I'm having a real tough time deciding..

I would recommend Skunk2 Stage 2 over the Stage 1s, and forget the Spoon cams.

Hi guys, i'm a n00bie here, just wanted to share some advice:

also you want to keep the future in mind...
some cams are better for turbo apps and some are better for n/a...
but keep in mind that just slapping in some aggressive cams won't give you alot...what you really need to do is upgrade the valve springs, retainers and get new cam gears....then dyno-tune it...this will get the most out of them and if your already changing the cams, it would be really beneficial for you to change everything at once....save's you a lot in labour and time...

EDIT: forgot to add that most cams will generally make power past the stock redline, so you need to up your redline too!

If you're not planning on modding any further than what you have I would choose between the Toda A and skunk Stage 1. Spoon cams are crap, they've been dyno-proven to be nothing special. Simply deciding on price, I would go with skunk.

If you plan on going further all-motor, a more agressive cam such as Toda B or skunk2 Stage 2 can be taken advantage of later on. With lumpy cams like that you'll need stiffer valvesprings to prevent coil bind (and thus valve float); neither of these are something you want.

What cams are Jun type 2 camshafts comparable too? How do they perform and is there a big difference between Jun 2 and Jun 3?
