I can imagine you don't listen to the stereo loud enough. I can't even imagine singling out a specific annoying noise in my civic, much less my bucket. :o

I can tolerate a lot of noise in my cars, as long as I know what they are..

If its something thats untreatable, I'll just deal with it and turn the stereo up, thats probably why the 240sx has the louder stereo

if you're looking to save a buck, search junkyards and find a bumper in good condition of the same color. then just buff it back to life.

that's what i did with a driver side door, plus i swapped out the guts.

edit > nm, just saw your other thread. :o

yeah the local junkyards have price gouging through the roof, and understandably so. luckily i picked up a pretty good example for a lot less than a 100 bucks.

The car looks damn good, bro. All that work deffinately paid off, now just keep it away from the scumbag theives.

Oh hai, look what I'm getting

1995 LS, B18 from an automatic car, so I know it wasn't beat on, just looking at the engine bay tells me it was some-what taken care of. He originally wanted $2500, I was able to work him down to $1700 because it needs a right fender, and a paint job, and it's rolling on steelies right now. Has a header, intake, B16 trans, stage 2 clutch, ACT Prolite flywheel, Skunk2 coilover'ss, etc.

First thing I do is picking up a fender, I'm painting it black in my friend's spray booth, getting a front lip, and a set of these;

Turns out that guy couldn't wait another day.

I called him earlier, and he said he sold it, and he just refunded my deposit on PayPal. Oh well, atleast he was honest and gave me my $$ back.

Now I'm looking at this

1995 Ls, 2000 front and rear conversion, all leather interior, red GT3's, and a crisp 90k miles on the car. $2700, not bad...the insurance company is gave me a $4200 check today.

I asked the same thing, and he said it was grinded down and filled, he just hasn't had the money to get it professionally painted. I'm not worried about it too much, though. I worked in a body shop, and I have plenty of friends that are still in the business.

Better hope so. Mine started as a little spec, was ground to bare metal and sealed, an now it looks like this:

Cut it off, it's the only way.

long overdue...but here's a mini update - with more to come later, gotta gather all the shots.

just little maintenance ticky-tack stuff since the last time but most recently, a good cut/polish/seal/wax on the outside. there's still flaws, but probably a 90% correction.

Of note, the 94-97 rear mudflaps have been replaced with 98-01 spec - the wing has been removed (for the detail work, but I like how it looks better - so until the wing marks/holes bother me enough to put it back on, it stays off)

Havent really done an engine wash since the last time I posted, so excuse the dirt on the sides and elsewhere

Mmm shiny

Foglights in action - JDM!

the sides were already painted when i got the car. the pictures hide the fact that they need to be repainted again. it should be around 150-200 at a competent shop.

i paid 350 to get the whole front bumper/lip painted. standard fare for the work.

just buy the flaps new? from an online retailer?
