i'm assuming i have to have the mats completely submerged? regular detergent should do the trick? if i had known i would have done this the day of ownership haha.

and as for the hyper dressing, i dont even let it sit, i just wipe it off right away haha. you've seen my engine bay pics from the threads i've made in the basement

lol i'm not messed up like that, the pics are actually after first complete wash cycle. I actually did 3 cycles, because I kept getting it wrong. The final one was only the front mats and by then a lot of the dirt was gone

i should have probably mentioned that on the spin cycle, you flip the mats around so the carpeted portion face out

i figured that from the get-go, but with the back seat mats in there and the front mats not wanting to contort evenly, some spots just werent open to the centrifugal forces yo

Yeah time isnt exactly on my side either, but one day at a time and it gets closer and closer. And yes "Honda Prices" compared to Luxo and Subie/Evo parts/mods and labor is so much cheaper, so things happen faster because of that too.

You've really given this car a face lift bro. Looks good, damn good. IMO the paint looks like it matches. I see no real noticeable transition.

I bet your friend who you bought the car from cannot believe that used to be his car.

thanks man i was kind of nitpicky about the paint matching, but then i saw how the fenders didnt match the mirrors or A-pillars. so i didnt care as much after that.

i kind of wish Ryan can see the car now, but even a couple months ago before a lot of the major work was done he didnt want to see the car at a picnic we were both at

werd. I sold a guy a $700 beater integra, and he gave it a paint job and fixed it up and put in an lsvtec. He showed me the pictures and I was like It would have just rusted away in my driveway anyway.

Wills engine bay looked worse

I ended up having to use 1500grit sandpaper and wet sand his headlights, they were umm sort of yellowish wet sand took care of the build up but left the lens all scratched to I bought a $15 polishing wheel kit for a drill and used plastic polish on it and they look brand new now... I'll post pics in a separate thread once i get home

whatever it is, just make sure it's meant for plastic. otherwise your headlights may turn yellowish and you'll have to clean them up all over again.

yep specific for plastic. doesnt leave it bare and exposed to UV damage like Meguiars PlastX and other polishes that lots of people tend to use.

Looking great man! You work quick!

I might just do the same this time around. It's nice to have your build so well documented so you can see your progress step by step. Looking back on it, I really regret not taking more pictures of my motor and 01GSR build. Especially since I totalled it. I just picked up an SSBP GSR shell for $550, needs everything!

Edit: Spelling/Grammar.. "making taking"
