Haven't tried it. But knowing the rough dimensions of each front end, I doubt that the 94-97 bumper will even fit the 98-01 headlamps.

Again, no. The newer front end (98-01) isn't compatible with the older (94-97) headlights.

How about just buying the front end for the lights he owns? :shake:
Sure you could mutilate a newer front end to crudely fit the old headlights.
But then you'd have to buy new corner lamps, seeing as how the 94-97 units dont have a prayer fitting into the newer bumper.
