Default Sunroof Problem with my new GSR.

I just got a 1995 Integra GSR the other day. The sunroof is stock, not aftermarket. It opens perfectly fine, but doesn't close at all. I need to know what I can do before taking to dealer for over pricing. Thanks!

Please do not bump your threads in the future.
If you have the time to bump, you have the time to use our search engine.

Sight unseen, my bet is that the sunroof motor is dying or the clutch that protects the closing mechanism is out of adjustment.

When you close the sunroof (or at least try to):
a) does the pitch of the motor get lower?
b) do you hear a popping noise from behind the sunroof opening?

If it's former, the sunroof motor is dying and will need replacement
If it's the second, the motor clutch is out of adjustment and will need to be tightened.

Let us know what's up.

My bad. I fixed the problem. I sanded 2 of the 4 heads on the switch and I put it back together, it worked like a charm. Thanks anyways!

Cool. I was going to suggest a new switch, but I guess that works too. The same thing happened on my 89 Integra many moons ago. It opened just fine, but closing was hit or miss and eventually, not at all. A new switch solved the problem. Good thing I did not chime in sooner or you may be 50 bucks poorer.
