Default Exhaust problems

there is a metal on metal sound coming from the exhaust. i think its the exhaust shield...any advice

it might be the shield, i know i had the same problem and it was the oem exhaust tip. I yanked it and trashed it, flat black solved all of my problems.

Default metal rattling sound

I have a metal rattling sound comming from the exhaust manifold area as well. i thought it was the shield but i removed it and started her up again and its still there. upon inspection i have a crack in my manifold. i'm not sure if this is the cause but i've ordered a new manifold and hopefully it fixes it.

i have he same problem i changed my manifold and my exhuast and now my new exhuast rumbles my heatsheild under he fuel tank

Try brute force and ignorance... Bend the heat shields. I worked for me and they still look breath taking

I've been told that on some of these cars, in the 2500 to 3500 rpm range, there could be some odd engine noises that sound like rattles. Like from bearings or something.

could catalytic converter falling apart inside, resonator baffles coming loose, etc etc

For me these noises were a faulty resonator and once, the screw end of a hose clamp was touching my strut bar and vibrating against it. Took me for fucking ever to figure that one out.
