what's the cause
I have a 92 Integra with a xsi b16 swap. I have a problem with my driver's side axle keeps on ripping out of the boot on the intermediate shaft end. Problem just started, I don't know what the cause is, but everything looks and feels fine with the suspension and mounts. Any thoughts on what it could be. Any answers would help at this point.

If this has happened a lot your axle may be to short. The inner sides on all Honda's axles move back and forth in the hub to compensate for suspension movement up and down. At full travel down the axle needs to be longer at full travel up/some where in the middle the axle needs to be shorter. If it keeps riping up on bumps or full acceleration (the front end moves up during hard acceleration) this may prove the point that your axle is to short. It could also be to short of an intermittent shaft this changes the location of your inner axle hub.

thanks, the axle was ordered for my motor setup(basically B17). I'll change the intermediate shaft tomorrow and go from there. Is there a big difference between the intermediate shafts of a gsr(B18c1) and B16(both cable trans)

Probably a little different. If thy are the same thy will have the same part number. You can call a Honda and an Acura dealer to see. I think the width of both cars are different. I cant find any specks for your car.
Can anyone confirm?
Can you post picks of the axle all torn up? so we all can get a better look.
