I have a bad brake master cylinder. Anyone has instruction on how to replace it as well as anything I need to pay attention while working on it? Where can I get it, Auto parts store is ok or I must buy from dealership. Thank You.

http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/audio-and-security-30/ You'll need a philips head screwdriver to remove the center armrest and the interior panels that surround the shifter. After that, it's a matter of removing the factory stereo, wiring up an adapter harness for your new stereo deck and putting everything back together.

Bosch Platnium +4
I don't have anything to recommend per say, and I don't have a '96 R, but I have a '92 GSR and I went with the Bosch Plat.+4 plugs and I haven't really noticed anything in smoothness or fuel efficiency. The only saving grace is they're good for 60K+ supposedly. So, if you don't want to change them as often as conventional, then go for it, but I didn't notice any difference.

I'm looking at the issue of getting in lots of trouble with buying a used car. Thankfully all of the issues have been fix at the expense of around 1.1k. Its a 95 GSR and it runs perfect thing is before the repairs the car idle'd at 1700. After the next fix it dropped to 1100 and after all the repairs were done it dropped to 700RPM on idle. Am I looking at to low for RPM? Could someone tell me the normal idle set for RPMs on an 1995 acura integra GSR? Thanks.

By comparison, 750 rpm (±50 rpm) is the correct idle speed. You don't need to adjust a thing.

Wiring Harness
Does the wiring harness need to be changed, as well as the ecu, when you switch from an LS to GSR? The LS and GSR are both OBD ll

Hi guys.. weird thing happened to my 95 LS this morning... here are the series of events that occured...
1- passenger side blinker went out, so when i go turn right the dashboard light indicator blinks really quick. 2- made a left turn the blinker there works fine. 3- went to make another right turn, blinker doesnt come on. 4- test the left blinker.. nothing. 5- try to turn on the lights.. nothing. 6- its like my signal lever thing isn't working at all... 7- put on my hazards, and these seem to work... not sure if my brake lights are coming on.. as i was in a rush to catch the train. dashboard lights don't come on, since i can't turn them on with the signal lever thingy. update: dashboard lights dont light up. blinkers work when i turn my hazards, but not when i flick the turn signal. what can the problem be? a blown fuse? short curcuit?

93 integra won't start
My 93 integra 1.8L all of a sudden won't start. I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter, main relay, and the distributor, still just cranks. Doesn't seem to be getting spark or fuel. Occasionally it will start and seems to run fine, but turn it off and it won't start again. Could this be the ECU? My next step is to have it towed to repair shop. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Mark |

Light for Drive position in dash
I have a 97 Integra AE (automatic) and recently the light that displays around the D (drive) does not work. For all other position it works. I've read that if it's flashing that can indicate a transmission issue, but it's not flashing, it just doesn't light up. I was thinking the light is probably an LED, and they're known to last for a long time, so I'm doubting that it burnt out. Any ideas how to track down where the issue is?
TIA |

starting problems
My 94 gsr has fired up every single day with no problems, until recently. When I try to start it now it begins just normal and then it kinda just slows down and i have to re-crank the engine. It has only done it twice, taking about three or four times each time before it cranks. After the car starts it runs as good as ever. Nothing ever dims either so I would assume it is the battery but I really am kinda clueless. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

have to forfeit my block 2 CHP
Best way to go about getting new b18c1 block for 96 gsr...where/cheapest used vs. new etc etc **PLEASE HELP/ADVISE***
this is why... Bought a salvage title 96 gsr from a buddy. The car is great\ quick. He had the vin verification scheduled with the chp already(good intentions)so that I can register it once it passes. I take it down (without him) and the second the CHP inspector pops the hood say's "uhhhh, theres gonna be lotsa problems with this car." Great!!! After a thorough inspection i have to forfeit the block b/c the #'s were grinded off, and the rear bumper(numbers illegible). HE said the vin tag on the tranny was missing as well, but made no mention to hand that over to them. He was nice enough not to impound car right there. He did make it very clear that he could have..Thanks bud!! Best place to get a new block? I live in hayward, CA |

Consult our engine swaps forum for more info on where to purchase a new motor. http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/en...and-tuning-33/ Unless a court has ruled otherwise, I would assume the CHP will seizing the entire engine and probably the transmission, not just the block casting. Trafficking in stolen parts (whether you know they're stolen or not) is a serious crime. Be thankful that they're letting you keep the rest of the car.
