Running without a muffler.
So I had kept my rear section from old exhaust and decided to mess around this past saturday and see if it would bolt up to my stock exhaust. Well it didn't cause the flanges are at different angles. So I was curious to hear what it would sound like without the muffler ans I started it up. To my surprise it sounded like what I expected it to if I had been able to install my old rear section. So I decided to take it for a spin like that. Maybe it is all in my head, but I swear it sounds and feels like I installed an exhaust. I asked for a couple of opinions from some co-workers and they said it sounded pretty good. They don't know shit about cars though. What do you guys think? Should I put my muffler back on or do other people do this? I've heard of straight pipe, but that usually has a tip that comes out of the rear. When you remove the stock muffler it ends a little before the rear wheels.

I'm gonna put the muffler back on tonight. I agree w/everyone here. I couldnt help but to find myself thinking that it sounded pretty cool. Funny thing, some kid in a civic pulled up next to me and asked what kind of exhaust I had and were I got it. I started to laugh and then I told him and he was like, ah dude really? But he was maybe 17 and I was 17 I probably would have thought it was cool too.
