Default Question of cosmetics.

I was thinking today... and realized something about wide-body vehicles, is that they seem to be a lot more seamless..

My question is this... can you fill in/paint up that hard edge that the front of the integra has where the Front fender meets the front bumper and goes like straight up until it runs into the side of where the hood is? Or because body panels on cars like shift and breath, is this not possible without cracking it and making it look bad?

thanks for the info...

ps.
I photoshopped what it ought to look like, I'll upload the pictures when I get a chance, my server is down at the moment.

Unless I crashed, why would I take my front bumper off?

Basically, no. That seam cannot be "smoothed" or filled.

The closest you could get would be to use a fibreglass front end, like those used in the IDRA/NHRA.

But if you were to do that, you'd lose all the crash protection that the stock bumper provides. And you'd have to find a way to re-mount your headlights.
And then you'd have to keep the whole mess from wobbling in place as you drive down the highway.
And you'd need a whole laundry list of excuses for the officers that would inevitably pull you over and cite you.

So in short, it ain't worth it.

good enough....

thanks for all of those who've given me my first bit of sarcasm... i've no intention of ricing it out with a body kit, nor did I think filling in a seam counted as ****ing 'ricing' in the 1st place... go you.

yeah, filling in the seams between the bumper & fender is counted a "****ing ricing" (as you so eloquently put it) whether you think so or not...especially on a car that has as much potential as a '96 GS-R

I'll take your word for it.. trust me though, I've no intent, of what in my mind is, ricing it at all...

The way I see ricing, being like "Yesss... I spent a bajillion dollars for a body kit that could eat a child, a new spoiler that will cut a giraffe's head off, and I even got that Artificial BoV, because i'm so cool."
Not "Hey, I suppose maybe a $50 job could smooth off an edge."

The 1st thing I plan on doing, aside from basic maitenence stuff (but i'm waiting for the snow to melt.) = Eibach Prokit and some Konis... and Enkei RS5's (mebbe)

Not trying to be abrasive in any way, so I apologize in advance, but the point i was getting at, rogue, was that everyone here has been really informative, and exceptionally helpful to me, I don't know much of anything car wise, as you stated you didn't when you came here in '03... so instead, please be a little more understanding, because something simple like that doesn't really stick out as "Ricing it up" in my eyes, maybe you should point out some other small things that I wouldn't have known was stupid in your eyes for me, so I can learn about the deal s'more.
Thz
