A six speed would be bulkier and add weight.
If you have an ATS or JDM axle, then maybe you could make the excuse for higher top speed, but the DC2 ITR chassis isn't much over about 150, anyway, as far as aerodynamic stability, IMHO.

Theres a company out there that makes a 6 speed tranny for b18.....i was getting ready to buy one but i dont think i would like it with a turbo on it....switch gears to fast...
-
OK you guys say there is no 6speed for dc2. but on ebay i saw there was a tranny for sale.....it showed you the ratios on each gear...and then it had a FD(final drive) ratio....now wouldnt that be the 6th gear??

Are you talking about Quaife?
If you are, yes, that's possible. However, it's expensive and will add weight and dollars that are out of proportion to any perceived benefit.
IMHO, there is no real benefit.

No, in the sense that you can't choose your final drive while you're driving. It's always there. So prior to the RSX, Integras had only 5 gears for you to choose from.

the final drive is like the rear end in a RWD car. It’s not changeable without dismantling the tans, but it factors into each ratio as far as rotations of crankshaft to rotations of tire.

been there done that
