Rover/honda D16 to b series Engine Conversion....
Hi all, i really don't have any basic knowledge of anything much about this,
hope i can get sum pro's opinion on this!!
i currently have a rover216coupe. with a Honda d16a6 engine in it. its Too slow for me! i have just bend sum valves, cylinders are all runing on very low compression, sumtimes wont start! so i have an idea! but i dont know whether it will work? help!
i want a b18c1 engine conversion. or integra type R engine. is it possible??? preferably the typeR....
the mounts.... the chassis, wot abot the engine main cable?
whats the first thing i need? wot upgrades do i need? sources? ECU? non vtec to vtec? need alot of help people! luv u all

Most people on this board (I am assuming) are from the U.S. and have no idea what kind of car is a Rover or has ever seen one. You may get better help on U.K. specific Rover boards?

but it has a d16a6 honda engine in it tho! its very similar to a 94 civic coupe basically, is a d to b series possible in a civic coupe then?

well let me start out this way, anything is possible with enough money but , you say it has a d-series in it huh. is it a obd1 car?? if so with a obd1 d series, i think the mount points are the same so you should infact be able to do that swap. You may want to put up a post in the civic forum since there is ALOT more traffic in there. Do that and see what others have to say.

You seem mostly concerned w/the physical dimensions and motor mounts.
You will not have a problem with those if you are already able to fit a D16 into it.
I am assuming that the Rover you have is one of those little ones built in cooperation with Honda, anyway.
You know...like the one Richard Bucket (Hyacinth's husband) drives.
