Default new Integra owner

Whats up, my name is Rip, Im in Tallahassee, FL and i just picked up a 92 Automatic Integra for $250.00 . it had a broken timing belt but I replaced it and there doesnt appear to be any valve damage but I havent pulled the head. The interior was trashed so i pulled it all out down to the metal, Pressure washed the inside of the car and replaced the carpet and insulation, Pressure washed and ozoned the seats, pulled all the interior paneling and pretty much brought it back to a new look inside, I removed the crackeled tint. Anyway, I ordered a mugen Intake, clear corners, bumper lights and I have a Zex dry kit from my Escort GT that will go in since I put a supercharge r on the GT. I do have a few questions however.

1: Is there a better aftermarket or year model ECU that will improve performance?

2: Can I advance the timing and if so, How?

3: Why the hell is "S3" constantly blinking?

4: Waht exactly is the S4 shift button? Does it increase line pressure for higher RPM shifting?

5: Does anyone have any extra valve cover nuts they could sell me?

6: what is the wheel size (4X100 4X114) ?

7: how good is the stock Suspension?

8: Where the hell do the rear speakers go? and what size are the door panel speakers?

9: Is there an easy way to remove the front bumper (gotta paint it)

10: where can i get a stall convertor?

11: What size is the stock exhaust pipe?

12: and finally, should i paint the steelies Gloss black or Gloss White? (The car is Red.

Thanks in advance for the info and hapy haloween.

I don't know much about all of that but I thought you'd like to know that even if the timing belt breaks it can't do any valve damage, the gen2 integras were designed to always have clearance so they won't damage when that happens. Makes the timing belt more of a inconvenience when it breaks vs. serious problems.

i can help out alittle but not much on all ur info. the lugs are a 4x100, the rear speakers are right behind the back seat where the button is to fold it down (dont know if all integras have that but i'm pretty sure they all do) and i would paint the steelies black if the car is red

1: Is there a better aftermarket or year model ECU that will improve performance?
On a stock car, I don't think any aftermarket ECU would make that much of a difference.

2: Can I advance the timing and if so, How?
Rotate the distributor a few degrees backward, I think.

3: Why the hell is "S3" constantly blinking?
I don't know what S3 is

4: Waht exactly is the S4 shift button? Does it increase line pressure for higher RPM shifting?
Dunny what S4 is either

5: Does anyone have any extra valve cover nuts they could sell me?

6: what is the wheel size (4X100 4X114) ?
Bolt pattern? It's 4x100. Wheel size I'm guessing is probably 14x6 or 15x6.5 or something like that.

7: how good is the stock Suspension?
Good enough for daily driving. It's old though.

8: Where the hell do the rear speakers go? and what size are the door panel speakers?
Don't know much about 2nd gen integras, sorry.

9: Is there an easy way to remove the front bumper (gotta paint it)
On a 3rd gen there's just a bunch of bolts on top and some clips in the fender well. It might be the same...

10: where can i get a stall convertor?
Don't know, sorry

11: What size is the stock exhaust pipe?
Don't know that either... 2 3/8"?

12: and finally, should i paint the steelies Gloss black or Gloss White? (The car is Red.
Black.

3: Why the hell is "S3" constantly blinking?
When S3 is blinking like that, it's acting as a check transmission light. Something is wrong with your trans, pick up a Helms/Chiltons/Haynes and diagnose it.

4: Waht exactly is the S4 shift button? Does it increase line pressure for higher RPM shifting?
The S3/4 setting is a fun little dodad built into the auto trans computer, it will hold each gear to redline if you floor it. When set to S3, it won't shift into the overdrive 4th gear. S4 will allow it to shift to 4th.

5: Does anyone have any extra valve cover nuts they could sell me?
Honda/Acura dealers sell them for about 75 cents apeice.

8: Where the hell do the rear speakers go? and what size are the door panel speakers? Aft of the rear seats on each side.... under the speaker covers. :chuckles:

9: Is there an easy way to remove the front bumper (gotta paint it)
Yes, it's pretty straight-forward. Unbolt it and slide it off. While you're in there, you can rip out the resonator too. Once again, pick up a Helms/Chiltons/Haynes for extra help.

10: where can i get a stall convertor?
Level 10 makes upgraded torque converters, but there isn't much of a point because Honda autos are somewhat weak and the gearing sucks. It's not ment for performance use.
