    Skunk 2 intake manifold

Ok I just put a skunk 2 inake manifold into 98 Civic which has a 97 Integra LS engine in it. Heres the Problem, on the stock intake manifold it had 1 spot for the antifreeze hose and on the Skunk 2 IM it has 2 spots for the antifreeze hose theres one for the big hose and theres one for a small hose, Theres isnt a spot for the small one anywhere in the engine anyone know where this hose goes???

If in doubt, throw it out.If your old one didnt have one, then your new one doesnt need one,put a plug in it.Anyone else have a better theory?

I had the exact same problem and unfortunately I did the short hose with a bolt in the end on it. It doesn't go anywhere that I could find. I've been running like that for about 4 or 5 months now and no problems. Hope it helps man.

I agree, plug it or tap it off. There is no where for it to go and the one that came off didn't have that extra hose, so there.

Doesnt it cost about 300 bucks?i havent seen a bolt on yet that really gives you much bang for the buck....you want good power for your dollar, get nos,or switch out some internals...all the bolt ons in the world, besides a turbo, only gets you MAYBE 20 hp to the wheel.....

And where from?Still your total net gains, with all the other bolt ons, this might give u MAYBE 2-3 hp at the wheel...

and you still have to have the oversized throttlebody, cai, and the open exaust in order to provide the flow it would need...otherwise its like an exaust without the header....no flow increase

maybe on a ragged out 92 integra bolt ons dont do anything...but in my 6th gen accord, the AEM V2 intake, DC 4-2-1 header, and GReddy EVO exhaust made a BIG difference...it all depends on the quality of the mod itself and the engine it goes on...the new accord V6 engine for example...the AEM V2 for that engine helps it make 18 extra hp...the new K engines respond extremely well to bolt ons too...but it depends on the bolt on...not all intakes are the same, not all headers are the same, not all pulleys are the same, and not all cat backs are the same...u put the right combonation tho, and you can make some noticeable power...

youd be surprised how many people think that...its true, the bigger the motor, the more gains youll get from bolt ons,but still, you wont get anything more than 3-5 hp from putting on an intake...or headers for that matter, all you are doing is changing the rpm the power kicks in at,and maybe taking away some torque...just changes the hp and torque curve, doesnt really add anything...
No matter what you THINK you gained,on the dyno you hardly gained at all...
You want real power, you have to change the head, maybe some internals, add more fuel, more air...
    more fuel+more air=more horsepower
to go faster you could put the car on a weight loss plan even
improving the flow of air and exaust can only do so much...and trust me,its not much

If you have real gains, prove it,otherwise, your just a story teller.

and as an afterthought, what brand you buy doesnt usually matter, the product may look shinier,or have a prettier name on it,but it doesnt mean it gives any more horsepower than a couple of vinyl stickers do...
Food for thought, all the money you spend on those bolt ons could be used toward truly tuning your car, getting real hp gains, which cost REAL $$$

"Man,my aem cold air intake makes so much more power than your exact same no name cold air intake does..."...not

You are contradicting yourself. You say that they move the power band but don't add power up top. well thats what you want to do isn't it, is move the power band to a more usable location? I mean shit, I'll take 15wtq in the midrange at the cost of 15whp up top. Tell your shit to people like Omniman who make 200hp on all oem honda parts. I mean shit, an SMSP header adds a hell of a lot more power than 3-5whp. Nobdy gives a shit what your peak hp and torque are. thats not what matters
