Can I fit 14" wheels on my 99 GSR?
Looking for a cheap solution for autox grip, I have 16s now and don't want to roll my fenders to get Azenis tires to fit, I also want a light weight wheel and low cost tires. I was thinking that 14s would be the cheapest IF THEY FIT....
Anyone running 14s? Any mods required?

90-93 Honda Accord factory alloys w/center caps, decent shape, $140 OBO
Thats the kinda money I wanna spend on wheels.. will accord wheels fit?
-
yes 14's will fit. the ls model came with 14's 94-98. one question....why would a smaller wheel not fit
Driving my 4th Acura these days...2001 CL. Not overly impressed. I miss my Integras...

I tried to fit 14s on the front of my GS-R for some drag slicks...they would not clear the brake caliper.
-
ok, my friend had a 97 gsr and bought some wheels. he gave me his 15's and i gave him my 14's. he put the 14's on his car just fine. if you have the stock brakes, calipers, and rotors. it should fit.

snitches get stitches
yes, assuming no brake upgrades have been made, 14"s should fit. The GS-R has nothing upgraded as far as brakes are concerned as compared to an LS/GS.

Any ideas where I can find a list of stock wheel sizes and weights? I am hoping to pick up some used civic or accord wheels.

No, they won't fit. Integras/Civics have a 4x100 bolt pattern, Accords have a 4x114.3 bolt pattern.

Any 14" wheel from a past integra or civic will work, with the exception of Civic HX wheels. If whatever wheel you're using doesn't clear the caliper, you can simply buy spacers that will push the rim out enough to clear the caliper.
2000 Integra GS prepped for autox.

make sure you got enough threads left on the studs...or do they check that in autox?

From: Ljlagace@aol.com
the HX had 13" wheels if im not worng, an ya they dont clear the calipers!.
Oh and the door jam has two sizes of tires and wheels listed. 195/60/R14 and 195/55/R15 as the optional size.
If your just looking for 14's for auto cross, why dont you drop by your local auto wrecker and pick up a set of honda alloys from 88+ CRX or 86+Integra?. most 86-93 integra's had 14" factory alloys. and worst case scenerio you can always use steel wheels. They are very cheap even brand new!

You could also put rims from an early 90's Prelude on them. My winter tires are from my 1991 Prelude Si that has long since gone to that highway in the sky.

If non-R Integra brakes are the same (which I'm not sure of) then you might need a spacer.

88-91 to be exact. 92+ have a 4x4.5 or 5x4.5 pattern.

MRK I and MRK II VW wheels will work too. Mine came from a 90's VW. Some of the jettas have 15" BBs's on them.

I have some 14" Integra wheels off a 90 RS. Msg me on AIM, and I can get images for you, etc.
-
If your going for autox woudlnt you want bigger rims? Like maybe some 16s with low profile tires. Ive heard that if you use higher profile tires the side wall will flex more and will cause body roll. Correct me if im wrong though.

16" wheels weight more, and cost more that is my man reason, also going to ultra stiff Azenis is a benifit even though I would have more side wall its rock hard sidewall at that.
