Default 1988 Acura Integra Steering Rack Seal's Leak

Hey there,

I've got a 1988 Acura Integra hatchback and the steering rack seals are leaking. It seems like a pretty expensive fix because I have to replace the whole rack. Does anyone know what a repair like this should cost? I don't want it to cost more than the car...

Thanks for any insight!

What did you end up doing? Have the same issue now on mine.

a seal kit in ebay is about 50$ Other than that, take your time and take pictures to help yourself. Depends on if you have to replace the seals or the lines. On my 91 integra, I had to replace pressure line at the pump, threads into the rack and pinion. On the 92 I'm currently working on, I have to replace the other pressure lines that go from the rack to the transmission. It's pretty confusing until you pull the engine out. Now I have to decide to get some used lines from ebay for 40-50 bux or try and get them made. Likely going to be around the same price
