About 6 months ago the driver's side power window quit working on my 1998 Integra LS. The passenger side and sunroof still work just fine, although they are pretty sluggish.

I recently had some work done at a shop and had them do some diagnostics on the window. They told me that I need to replace the Power Window Master Switch along with the motor for the driver's side window. They quoted me at $850!! This is a mechanic I've used for years and who has never unfairly charged me for work.

I called around to some other shops and they were all quoting me around the same price ($700-$900).

Why would I need to replace the Master Switch if two out of the three power windows are working just fine? Also, is $700-$900 for parts and labor to replace this sound accurate?

This may have been posted before, if so, I apologize. I didn't see it after searching. I'm getting some water in the spare tire wheel well after it rains sometimes. There seems to be more water than used to be in there when it rains. Any ideas? I think there's some sort of a drain for the sunroof that runs down by the taillights that may have come disconnected from its "elbow" or something. Does anybody have pics or a DIY that shows how to correct this problem?

I'm thinking about getting one. It's for a Track car. Full JDM – ITR, N/A, swap. So I have the 4.7 final-drive. Right now the tires I run are 195/55/14. The diameter is 22.4”

I have a 1998 Integra LS with about 95,000 miles on it. Within the last two weeks I noticed a slight burning smell (kind of like burning rubber) when I'm idling at a stoplight after the engine has fully warmed up. I don't notice it when driving, only after I've stopped.

Yesterday after driving around for a while I parked and popped the hood and noticed a faint trace of smoke coming from underneath the engine block (near the dipstick). The car sounds and runs fine except for this problem.

I recently had the 90,000 mile service done (about a month ago) and I've never had a problem with the car. Any ideas what might be causing this?

does any of you guys installed skunk 2 intake manifold on a gsr integra? did you have any problems with them with the installation and perforrmance after install? is it really just a direct fitment with the oem sensors being utilized as well>?

What type of ATF does my 92 Integra GS take?

I've been reading about how sensitive these trannys are to fluid deterioration and how ATF should be changed regularly. I have also been reading about the superiority of the new synthetic products. I have NO IDEA what was done prior to me buying the car ~3000 miles ago, and want to get the ATF changed this weekend.

ATF type? Experience with synthetics?

My 99 gsr the cat is starting to get clogged. Alot of people are telling me to just bang it out and use it. But im leaning towards a test pipe. I had just an ebay one on a previous car and it was too loud. And the cops around here are strict and plus it was just too much.

Anyone can recommend a decent part to replace it? I have a dc header and a greddy sp2 exhaust if that matters.

I'm usually on the Civic forum, but I have a friend that needs some help with his Integra.
He has a 98 Integra LS that runs great while it's cold, but as soon as it heats up it starts mis-firing. But it only mis-fires when the throttle is not open. So, if he backpedals, then it mis-fires, or if it's idling, then it mis-fires. I asked a Acura buddy of mine, and he said it was the main-relay, so I replaced that, but it still has the problem. I was thinking that it could be an O2 sensor, or a clogged CAT, but I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge to drop here.

P.S. I seem to remember a post about this somewhere, but I couldn't find it using search, so if you know where it is, please direct me...

Befriended a retired gent who used to worked in an auto body shop and he offered to do some restoration work on my integra. For $200 he said he'll grind the rust spots out, patch them with bond-o, and paint the entire car. No mention about metal fabrication as I don't think he has this capability in his home shop (and not sure there is any need for this type of work).

The car is white, never been wrecked, and has a few minor rust spots (bubbles) in the typical places - rear wheel wells, rear brake/turn signal areas, around windshield, side window panels. Got paint code and source for acrylic enamel paint, hardner, and reducer. Purchased replacement double pin stripes at Advance Auto.

I know that a lot of you guys have experience in this area and perhaps can offer some suggestions on things that I might do in prep for and during this project. Thinking of keeping appearances stock but would be interested in any modest enhancement suggestions.

Does anyone know where/how many/ how to access the bolts that I will need to remove in order to get this job done?

I have a 92 LS that has been running fine. The other day I parked it but when I tried to start it the next day it fired up and then sputtered and shut off. I checked the ECU code and am getting a code 20 (ELD). I also notice a strong fuel smell after trying to start it. I swapped out the ECU with a known good one and there was no change. If I push the gas pedal after starting it I can get it to stay running for a bit but the engine acts as though it is misfiring or running very rich. Any help would be appreciated.
